IESO Plans Routine Voltage Reduction Test

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is planning a routine voltage reduction test for tomorrow, Thursday, July 15, 2010. The IESO performs voltage reduction tests every 18 months to simulate emergency actions and measure the load reduction that occurs.

IESO Selects Participants for Demonstration Project to Provide Regulation Services

Ontario's Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) has selected two companies, Sempa Power Systems Ltd. and Hydrogenics Corporation, to participate in an innovative project that will allow large industrial, commercial and institutional electricity consumers to provide a grid-balancing service usually supplied by generators.

IESO Wins APEX Award for Pandemic Planning Excellence

Yesterday, Ontario's Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) received the APEX Award for Pandemic Planning Excellence in the Small/Medium Organization category. The APEX Awards are a national initiative created to recognize Canadian businesses for the creation, development and execution of a comprehensive pandemic preparedness program.
